So here we go....this time next year, wedding season will be to a level of insanity! There is the potential for 5, yes FIVE weddings! 2 of my dear friends both got engaged this past week! I am so blessed as they are both friends that have been in my life for many years! Congratulations Ellen and Amber!
Lately we've been dealing with a teething puppy. If you've never done it before, it's quite a journey. One that we were neither prepared for nor know how to combat. If there is an article of clothing nearby...it will be pulling into her kennel and chewed on. Any items in the kennel are torn to small pieces or eaten. Including items like the hard plastic bottom of her kennel, jackets, the cushion that replaced the hard plastic bottom, etc. Take a look...
She only appears so innocent. Turns out...she isn't. In the slightest. I worry about what we may find in the months to come. Please note: this cushion is officially 6 days old....sad.
Wish us luck!

I left my head and my heart on the dance floor.
Pure and utter chaos....that's how I feel about my life right now. "Chicken with its head cut off?" Yeah, that sounds about right too! So, until things slow down...here's a peek at my life lately...minus WhirleyBall!
You'll notice Trey's attempt to "slow dance" with Ruckus...sigh...such is my day to day! :)
Until next time, GO USA! I love the Olympics!

Dave Barnes said it best...
"There's no good reason for the way you love me, but I thank God that you do."
This is a sweet little gift from one of my students. And wouldn't you know it...one who, on a daily basis, makes me want pull every single hair out of my head one by one...but on this particular Friday he lit up my world. And nothing short of it!
A few pictures of my loves....minus my "main squeeze!" :)
As crazy as she drives me...how can you not love that face?
I got this picture a second too late! Rwwar was drinking with Ruckus! It is amazing to see how close they are. When Trey mentioned getting a puppy and a kitten at the same time, I had serious reservations. The last thing I wanted in our lives was two animals...two sets of bills...and two MORE things to take care of, but Rwwar has been easy! Ruckus...well she's the one who....get ready for this.....the latest news....
....eats the hard, black plastic from the bottom of her kennel....then proceeds to throw it up in little tiny pieces....and when she decides to dig instead of eat....she rips a hole through the BRAND NEW carpet that was installed less than a week before we moved in. All I can say is....Trey picked her! :)
As for me, let's just say CRCT is coming up, plus trying to find a new school to move to, and a place to keep all of my stuff after I have packed up my entire classroom. I start and end my day with a cup of tea. I get a kiss and hug from my best friend every day. I have the most wonderful team teacher in school. And I have two pets who make me feel so welcome to come home. Overall, I am stressed beyond belief, but content. Keep your fingers crossed!
Until next time, keep up the lovin'!

You're my....Secret Lover!
So tomorrow our "Secret Lover" at school will be revealed! Now typically, I am not one for the whole Valentine's thing...way too much stock put into it and too much build up. However, I do really enjoy a sappy card once in a while, and it makes for a good excuse to ask for one! Anyway, back to my initial thought...This month has been different. I begged for it, I pleaded for it...and so far, it has gone beyond expectation. Part of this is due to the encouraging "love notes" my Secret Lover is sending to me! So I am pretty pumped about not only revealing myself but finding out who has made the first part of the month a little more special to me!
On another note, Trey found this the other day...and I can't stop listening to it. I just love her!
Rihanna-Cold Case Love
Finally, this was how I found Ruckus this morning when I left.....she likes to burrow. Similar to a rabbit perhaps, only she's a DOG! Trey picked a winner!
Can you find her? Cause I couldn't!!
Until next time, may you receive lots of love notes from your...Secret Lover!

The Oleanders
Before I begin this rant, let me start by saying...the decision to invest in a puppy and kitten at the same time, while costly, has been one of the most fantastic decision I ever made. Ever since I lost Pepper, I knew in my heart, that someone needed to fill the space. Ruckus and Rwwar have done that more than ever, and for that...I thank them eternally.
HOWEVER, may God have mercy on her soul if Ruckus EVER poops in our bed again!
Now...let's back-track. Ruckus has been less than simple to deal with lately as she is beginning to enter the "exploratory" stage in her young puppy life. And like human toddlers....she eats everything. Pinecones, leaves, glitter, blankets...you name it. If it's something new, chances are...she'll explore it with her mouth. Lately, papers have ended up places where they were not originally placed. Clothes are found strewn in the most utterly bizarre places. And clothes hangers....well, they simply don't stand a chance. So, needless to say, we've had a watchful eye on her. Or so we thought...
Saturday night arrives and after a long dinner with the girls, followed by an entirely-too-lengthy session of Super Mario Brothers with Destin, Trey and I finally make it to bed. As I climb in the sheets, I can't help but be bothered by the stench that unmistakeably comes along with a decent amount of poop. As my freak out begins, Trey is trying to settle me down by insisting he doesn't smell a thing.......that is, until he, too, climbs into bed. At this point, both of our heads have reached "boiling point" and I begin to hope and pray that I was simply losing my mind for fear of what my happen to my loving beagle pup! Unfortunately, not the case. As we tore back the comforter, followed by the sheet, sure enough....right in the middle of the bed. Apparently she had crawled under the covers only to leave a nice "good night treat" for us for playing with Mario and Luigi instead of her. The remainder of the night went by quickly as we stripped the bed down and Ruckus spent the night in the bathroom, and we both passed out in the guest bedroom.
Like I said earlier, there are no words to describe how happy these little critters have made my life...but let's just say kids are in the far away future.
As I write this little blurb, Rwwar is on the counter watching the sink drip...
....and Ruckus, well, she's licking the computer screen.
Until next time, keep spreading the love!

February is for lovers.
So, on a personal note, let's recap the last 3 years in February.
2007: My grandmother passes away during my internship.
2008: First childhood dog, Pepper, has to be put to sleep.
2009: Trey moves back to Atlanta because of job issues.
So...2010, I am counting to bring something positive. Not only do I need it to happen, but I insist that it does. So here we go...February 1st...time to show off some love!
Now to the good stuff. Trey and I love our pets with all of our being. One of my best memories that did not involve these magical creatures was a night of Apples to Apples at my parent's house. (Now if you've never played Apples to Apples, it is essentially a comical game of nouns and adjectives.) The adjective was "furry," and my brother was the judge. As he's reading the cards, one says "My Family." Of course we're all laughing at this point quite confused at the card that someone threw down. And then Trey says, "Well, Ruckus....Rwwar....and Sarah's got the longest hair here. I'd say I have a furry family!" Very witty that Trey!
Here are the latest pictures...no real stories lately! Just pictures :)
