And the pumpkin head said, "Boo! Boo!"

Halloween is upon us in full force this year! Due to work schedules, Trey and I were....yet again....unable to carve our pumpkin. One of these days were actually going to get to use the pumkin carving kit....one of these days!

Yesterday was "Storybook Character Dress-Up" at school! It was complete with Shaggy and the rest of the Scooby-Doo gang, many varieties of "Where the Wild Things Are," "Snow White and her 7 Dwarfs," and even a few Cat in the Hats! The kids were crazy with excitement! The Scooby-Doo crew (which I am glad to say was 3 of my third grade co-workers) surely caused quite a fuss! As well, kindergartens version of "The Magic School Bus" was a huge hit at lunch!
I, on the other hand, went for a cheaper, more comfortable costume! Yes...I was "Alexander" from the story "Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day!" And boy was it awesome! Threw on my christmas dog flannel pajamas, put ungodly amounts of mousse in my hair, and then twirled a bright pink hair band around to signify a piece of bubble gum!

Tonight is the real party though! Tonight I'll be joining Joe and company for "The Halloween Party I've Been Waiting For!" (Or so he says!) My costume..........AN UNO CARD!! It's going to be marvelous! I, in normal Sarah fashion, waited until the last minute (much to Trey's annoyance!) and we ran to Wal-Mart this morning to get the supplies! Just finished creating my masterpiece and am now letting it dry! It should be a wonderful time and I love seeing everyone dressed up and the creativity that people put into it!

In pet news, Ruckus has learned that she can bite down a little...and its getting a bit painful! Surely hoping to break that habit soon! Did I mention she destroyed her stuffed animal? Looks like Thing 2 didn't stand a chance! Dreading what will happen as she gets bigger, things could get pretty expensive! And Rwwar...well, just waiting for the day of her "Big Escape!" I feel as though it will be coming soon! As she sure is getting more adventurous and curious about the outdoors! The other day she snuck out right past me when I got home from work! Coulda kicked her butt...

Soccer game tomorrow! Ready to get back into action! Speaking of soccer, like to take a minute to say "High Five and Congratulations" to my little brother, Brian. He scored 2, yes TWO, header goals in his game this morning...he's A-W-E-S-O-M-E!!!

Until next time...Happy Halloween!

My attempt at being pleasant

There are some days where I spend the evening battling constantly on the way
home about the day. I find myself pondering what to listen to that will relax me,

And here's why....
  • Students were incredibly annoying...to the extent that I considered tripping some in the hallway just to get them to quiet down
  • Meetings in which I am told that my perception of the school is a reflection of mine and my colleagues efforts=unhappy Sarah
  • Rain....rain...rain And for added effect, let me state it one more time...RAIN!
  • Finding out that when I get home I am not allowed to sit on the couch and
  • snuggle up with Trey, but rather, I have to entertain guests, AND be amusing!
On a positive note, Ruckus has taken a turn for the best! Turns out breaking an
arm, just may be the best thing to calm a young dog down. Now I wonder if it can
work with others! Muahahaha! Her new thing is "The Five Minute Kiss-Fest!" She
will stick her tounge down your throat, up your nose, in your ear, and anywhere
else above your shoulders! Now I fully understand how people feel real gross when
they are woken up to their dog licking their face!

Started the day with a good kick though! Like Ruckus, Rwwar also has a new fetish...the bathroom! If you need to poop, she is your BEST FRIEND! She loves to rub up against your legs, climb on your lap, talk to you, and my personal favorite, play with the toilet paper while you are trying to pull it off the roll! So this morning while I am pulling myself out of bed and into the shower, she decides to stay in the bathroom
despite my meager efforts to kick her out! Never the less as soon as that water turned on...she wanted nothing to do with it! Silly cat...she did, however, spend the
remainder of the morning loving all over me while I tried to get ready. Usually something I would love, however, when I am trying to get ready....well, let's just say, I
considering opening the door and letting her explore "the great outdoors!"

So here I am, entertaining my guests by turning on Wheel of Fortune and letting
them adorably cuddle on the couch while Trey makes the house smell amazing with what smells to be a PHENOMENAL dinner!

Until next time...
